I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your help in resolving our lock conflict at our hospital. Turns out that the same locks and keys you have installed on your new carts have also been installed by the vendor that the hospital purchased its medication cabinets from. So, after opening our new Hospital (complete with 75 CompuCaddy carts) we suddenly find out that our PC techs now have access to narcotics on the nursing units and that our nurses can all open the backs of the carts and remove the PCs. Who would have ever guessed?

How to solve the problem? Just make sure you’re working with a vendor that truly understands what a partnership is. I explained our plight to Nikki and within hours she’s calling me to tell me that you’ll ship us new locks at no cost. That’s a level of customer service that I’ve not come to expect in my 20-plus years in the industry. I guess it shouldn’t surprise me coming from CompuCaddy. I’ve got to tell you, though, it means a great deal to me.

You guys set the standard in many ways. I guess this is just another example. Anyway, it matters a lot to me and I wanted to personally thank all of you.

 You’re kidding right??  Oh they love them!!!   Currently, they use them for physician rounds: the battery allows the laptops to be used until the rounds are completed and the counter top give them a workplace for patient charts.  Just FYI, the head of the ICU just asked again for your name and contact information because he wants to order more of them. This is just an e-mail to say thanks so much for this cart and laptop. Thanks for helping this come to our department for our use. I have only used it for one day and already I can tell a difference in my job. It allows me to be more efficient and productive, because of the mobility. The tablet that we had before was harder to use, it took much more time to do anything on it. This new laptop with the cart is the ideal solution for slotting from the receiving dock, searching for missing product, approving cycle counts, walking min/max, helping pickers search for items. These are just a few of the pluses that I have noticed within the first day of use. I did not have to spend any of my time in an office, or looking for a computer that I could use. I just can not express enough how much more productive and efficient it has allowed me to be as a supervisor, and as a supervisor this is a top priority. I have to say again THANK YOU!!!!!

We received the shipment of our Cynergy Series Carts today.  We will break them out of the box early tomorrow and ensure that all is intact and present.  Keeping in mind the 24 hour deadline and the time difference I will ensure we contact you as early as possible if there is a problem.

Attached are the results of our recent set of trials and show. Also a power point that our CIO will be presenting to our Executive Sr. Mgmt. Team.

Bruce and I will be drafting the official message in the next few days to announce that CompuCaddy is now the new official standard for UMass Memorial Health Care for mobile computing.

Folks are knocking down my door wanting to know how to get one. Bruce and I have already discussed starting the process of getting these out and in use even ahead of the new HIS application rollout. I think we can expect to see some activity in the next two to three months…if not sooner.

I just returned from the ED.  They now have two of the new pink COWs.  It was love at first sight.  They’re very excited.  It appears that we’ve provided them with an ideal solution.  You guys really know how to build carts that meet the needs of clinicians.  It’s been cool watching the changes over the years.  I’d appreciate it if you’d let your shop guys know how much we value the great work they do.  Thanks for steering us in the right direction on the all-in-one.  We’ll roll out the remaining 13 units early next week.

It is very refreshing to have a vendor representative who is prompt, specific and accurate when responding to questions and requests.  And you give the impression that you enjoy what you’re doing.  Actually, we recently had a vendor call requesting to provide some numbers and I asked my boss to respectfully decline for this reason.  So, again, I do appreciate your commitment to quality service to us.

I just had to pass this along:

A Bay Area Kaiser Permanente tested the CompuCaddy iPad cart against two other carts they had purchased for iPad use.  They chose the CompuCaddy cart  –we knew they would! According to Melinda, their safety folks liked the five-point base and shook their heads over both of the other carts’ four wheel bases.  Clinical staff love the height adjustability and the FlexArm stability and positioning.

I’ll be ordering two carts to replace their two less-awesome test carts ASAP.
